Устройство, автоматически перекрывающее при пожаре проем в ограждающей конструкции, канал или трубопровод и препятствующее распространению огня и дыма в течение нормируемого времени.

Автоматически и дистанционно управляемое устройство для перекрытия вентиляционных каналов или проемов в ограждающих строительных конструкциях зданий, имеющее предельные состояния по огнестойкости, характеризуемые потерей плотности и потерей теплоизолирующей способности:
- нормально открытый (закрываемый при пожаре);
- нормально закрытый (открываемый при пожаре);
- двойного действия (закрываемый при пожаре и открываемый после пожара)..."
